Lippe and the "Landesverband"
The Staatsbad Meinberg – an institution of the “Landesverband”
Since its foundation in 1949, the “Landesverband Lippe” has taken up the task of keeping the cultural identity of Lippe alive. In its function as trustee of the former assets of the Land Lippe, the “Landesverband” preserves, maintains and finances cultural institutions (e.g. “Lippisches Landesmuseum”, “Lippische Landesbibliothek” in Detmold), listed buildings, agricultural areas and 16,000 hectares of forest.
One of its duties is the maintenance of the Staatsbad Meinberg and its facilities, e.g. the spa administration (Kurverwaltung), the conference centre, the Stern Vital & Wellness and the mein)bad Thermal-Mineral-Bad.
The “Landesverband Lippe” is a singular administration body that is unique in all of Germany. As a modern service provider it stands for supporting innovation and business, culture and environment, tourism and health in the Lippe region. The “Landesverband” can take credit for Lippe’s confident and forward looking identity as the third region of North Rhine Westphalia.
